FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

DARKMAN FACES THE ARMY OF DARKNESS IN FINAL BATTLE
Dynamite’s Special Cross-Over Event Concludes in February

December 12, 2006, Runnemede, NJ – With issue #2 in stores next week, DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT today released images and information for the fourth and final issue of the all-new ARMY OF DARKNESS mini-series event – DARKMAN VS. THE ARMY OF DARKNESS! This issue is scheduled for release in February and will be available with covers by George Perez and Nick Bradshaw.

With the first issue already in stores and the second issue due out next week, praise and anticipation for Dynamite’s Darkman vs. Army of Darkness mini-series event has been outstanding:

From a review of Dynamite books on CWR Weekend Blog by Marc Mason, “This is precisely how to put together a crossover of this nature and looks like it should be a lot of fun over the course of the series.”

And from silverbulletcomics.com, “Darkman vs. the Army of Darkness promises to be a rollicking good time and shouldn't be missed by any fan of Sam Raimi's works or supernatural super-heroing.”

Writer Kurt Busiek described the basis of the story in an interview with Wizarduniverse.com as, “The premise of the series is pretty simple. If you want to do an Ash story, it’s got to have the Army of Darkness, and if you want to do a Darkman story, you’ve got to mess with his city, and particularly, with Julie Hastings. So we have Julie accidentally read an incantation from the Necronomicon ex Mortis and summon the Army of Darkness to Darkman’s city.”

DARKMAN VS. THE ARMY OF DARKNESS #4 (DEC063494) WRITTEN BY ROGER STERN AND KURT BUSIEK, ART BY JAMES FRY; COVERS BY PEREZ AND BRADSHAW (EQUAL RATIO)!

Dynamite presents the cross-over no one thought could happen, till Dynamite put it together ('nach) - Ash and Darkman as we present Darkman Vs. the Army of Darkness #4!

The AOD/Darkman cross-over concludes here as Ash and Darkman fend off not only Deadite Durant and his Deadite guards, but The Deadqueen as well! Will our heroes be able to turn the undead tide in time to save the city... and the world! The conclusion to this special cross-over event is again brought to you by writers Roger Stern and Kurt Busiek, artist James Fry and cover artists George Perez and Nick Bradshaw!
